Trekking Tours

Day 3: Breakfast. Today´s hiking trail will cross the Bucegi Natural Park. The starting point is the center of the village of Moeciu de Sus, from where we head on to Pleasa – Poiana Gutanu – Grohotis – Pasul Strunga – Bucsa – Moeciu de Sus. Dinner and accommodation.

Technical features: circular route, approximate distance – 25 kmts. Total ascent: 1010 m. Total descent: 1022 m.

Cost per person (minimum 4 persons):

4 persons: 600 € per person.

5 persons: 560 € per person.

6 persons: 550 € per person.

7 persons: 530 € per person.

The cost includes:

-4 nights accommodation in rural guesthouse, in double room (all rooms have matrimonial beds), halfboard regime (breakfast and dinner, beverages not included); 4* hotel supplement: + 60 € per person per stay. Single room supplement: + 60 € per room per stay. 

-Return transfer to Bucharest airport and transfer to the Piatra Craiului Natural Park.

Day 2: Breakfast and hike to the Bisericuta Peak, the highest point in the village of Moeciu de Sus, with 1322 m altitude. 

Technical features: circular route, approximate distance – 10 kmts. Total ascent: 350 m. Total descent: 343 m. 

In the afternoon, hike to the Fundata village. It's altitude, 1360 m, makes Fundata the highest settlement in Romania.

Dinner and accommodation in Moeciu de Sus.

Day 3: Breakfast. Today´s hiking trail will cross the Bucegi Natural Park, through Poiana Gutanu, Pasul Strunga (1909 m), Padina and Pestera. Accommodation at Pestera Hotel (3*). Visit the Ialomicioara Cave and relax at the hotel spa.

Technical features: approximate distance – 19 kmts. Total ascent: 1060 m. Total descent: 430 m.

4 persons: 860 € per person.

The cost includes:

-1 night stay in the Pestera Hotel, in double room and halfboard (dinner and breakfast, beverages not included).

Discover Transylvania: Carpathians and Culture

Day 1: Arrival. Collection at Bucharest airport and tour by bus of the Bucharest center.  Transfer to Moeciu de Sus. Accommodation and dinner.

Day 2: Breakfast and discovering a mountain village life style. Hiking trip to Bisericuta Peak, the highest point in the village of Moeciu de Sus, with 1322 m altitude. Horse drawn cart tour of the village and visit  to Cabane aux Images, an exposition about rural life in Romania, to the orthodox church of the village and to a traditional loom from 1950 with live demonstration of use. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3: Breakfast and transfer to the Prejmer Fortified Church, an UNESCO Patrimony site and one of the most monumental and better conserved fortified churches in Transylvania. We head on to Brasov, the capital city of the Brasov county and one of the most beautiful and flourishing cities in central Romania, to visit its old medieval center. Return to Moeciu de Sus. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4: Breakfast. We head to the Bucegi Natural Park where we start hiking, we cross Pasul Strunga (1909 m) and head to the Padina clearing. Accommodation at Pestera Hotel (3*). Visit at the Ialomicioara Cave and relax at the hotel spa.

Technical features: approximate distance – 19 kmts. Total ascent: 1060 m. Total descent: 430 m.

Day 5: Breakfast and return hiking to Moeciu de Sus on a different trail. We hike the highest peak of the Bucegi Mountains, the Omu Peak (2505 m), then we descend to Moeciu de Sus through Batrana Massif, Coltii Tapului, Valea Bangaleasa. Dinner and accommodation.

Technical features: approximate distance – 25 kmts. Total ascent: 965 m. Total descent: 1600 m.

Day 6: Breakfast and transfer to Sinaia, on the Prahova Valley, also known as the Pearl of the Carpathians, where we will see the Peles Castle (19th century), old summer residence of the romanian royal family, and the Sinaia Monastery (1695). Our next stop will be in Bran, to visit the famous castle. Return to Moeciu de Sus. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 7: Breakfast and visit to the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Zarnesti, the greatest bear reserve in Europe, where 78 bears that used to live in miserable conditions have been rescued, and live now a happy life in a natural environment. We head on to the Piatra Craiului National Park where we will cross the Zarnesti Gorges and we`ll go up hiking to the Curmatura Hut (1470 m altitude). Descent through Poiana Zanoaga. Return to Moeciu de  Sus. Dinner and accommodation.
